A Bite Out of History
For generations, recipes have been passed down amongst families and friends. From homemade bread to local delicacies, every community has its own flavors and favorites that have stood the test of time. Bainbridge Island is no different. For decades, recipe books were used to welcome new neighbors to the Island and to help fundraise for schools and churches alike. Gathered from dozens of community members, A Bite Out of History shares recipe books from our collection which represent the many stories and lives that have fed Bainbridge Island over the years.
