Let’s work together

  • Museum Ambassadors welcome visitors, cover the front desk and gift shop, and answer questions about Bainbridge Island and the Museum.

    Specific Tasks:
    • Welcome and orient visitors to the Museum
    • Complete gift shop transactions
    • Communicate relevant policies and procedures to Museum visitors

  • Docents help give tours of the museum, facilitate educational and early childhood programs, and answer questions about Bainbridge Island and the Museum.

    Specific Tasks:
    • Give scheduled tours
    • Facilitate educational programs/events
    • Assist with early childhood programs
    • Guide historical tours with Museum staff

  • Research Support Specialists help orient visitors to the Research Library and provide direction/assistance in navigating the research sources and PastPerfect collections database.

    Specific Tasks:
    • Welcome and orient researchers to the library resources
    • Provide direction and assistance in navigating PastPerfect
    • Assist Museum staff as needed with other projects
