Planned Giving
“The Bainbridge History Museum is such an important and vital part of our island community that Barbara and I made a generous legacy gift to them. Please consider joining us in support of this fine organization.”

Grant and Barbara Winther, Parfitt Society Members
The Elnora Parfitt Society recognizes individuals and families who plan to make gifts to the Museum through their estates. Planned gifts are critical to helping us preserve and share the stories of Bainbridge Island as we work to promote a greater understanding of our community and the world in which we live.
Elnora Parfitt was a major figure in the Museum’s early years and sets an example for us today. She was elected President of the Museum in 1972 just after the Schoolhouse was donated to the Museum and moved to Strawberry Hill. She served as both president and curator during her tenure. Her leadership and enthusiasm set the Museum on a path to long term success.
A legacy contribution expresses your individual values, inspires others, and will leave a lasting impact on Bainbridge Island. Small planned gifts can be used to sustain programs and/or facilities, add capacity, or launch new initiatives.
Larger legacy gifts can be game-changers and open new possibilities for the Museum to do more for this community. We hope that members and friends like you will consider including the Bainbridge History Museum in your estate plans so that we may continue to share the history of Bainbridge Island for decades to come.
For more information, please contact Director of Philanthropy Jessica Perkins. Our staff will be happy to work with you and your financial advisor or attorney to structure any planned gift.
